You’ve noticed that the bell tower is back on the cover of this week’s bulletin! Although we still have a few steps to go through with the City of Westminster, I am 90% sure that we will have our bells. The final step is a City Council meeting at the beginning of June, with their approval we will be able to build our bell tower! Please keep this in your prayers.
Our last Masses in the church are next weekend! For the weekend of June 6-7, Masses will be in the Fr. Puhl Center . These are exciting times for us!

Years ago, at my “day job,” I parked next to the car of a co-worker. The bumper proudly displayed a brand-new sticker: “Methodists: preaching the Gospel for 200 years.” I grinned, walked into the office, shook the owner’s hand and said: “Catholics: preaching the Gospel for 2000 years.” I can’t understand why she removed the bumper sticker from her car.
Catholics, by the grace of God and through no merit of their own, can rely on two thousand years of Tradition and tradition; it is a shame and a great loss that more of us do not bother to discover our deep, healthy and awesome roots. I did not realize what a blessing it was to grow up in a Country that was almost 100% Catholic, in a family that was 100% faithful. In those years, we breathed a deeply Catholic air. One could almost say that those of my generation and before, picked up the Faith by osmosis.
Mostly a behind the scenes maintenance release with a few minor touch ups here and there. You can expect the pace of releases to slow going forward as I am mostly fixing minor issues.
If you see any problems or find bugs please leave a comment so I can log it and fix.
These last few weeks, we have been busy with the last-minute details before we begin the renovation of our church. As I looked at the final designs, I imagined the joy that all of you will experience when you see how beautiful our beloved church will be, and I once again was reminded that everything worthwhile in this world is the fruit of generosity.
For instance, holy and inspiring marriages are the fruit of two spouses who selflessly give of themselves to each other and to their children. The earliest hospitals and universities came into existence because people with a vision gave without asking for anything in return. The gift of our Faith has come down to us from countless Catholics who sacrificed everything, even their lives, to spread the Gospel, from the Apostles, the many saints and martyrs that followed them, and the sacrificial example of our families.
This Friday evening, May 22nd, at 6:30pm we will be graduating from our school a wonderful class of eighth graders. They are a class filled with fine young people who have grown greatly in their love for God in their years at Holy Trinity and I am very proud of them all. Congratulations to each of them and their families! You are warmly invited to the graduation Mass and the reception which follows in the Fr. Puhl Parish Center.
You are invited to the special Masses here on Memorial Day, May 25th, at 6:30 am and 8:00 am. We will be celebrating the Holy Mass in memory of all the deceased of our parish and your families. You are encouraged to make this holiday special by lifting up to our Lord’s loving mercy your loved ones who’ve died in Christ.
