I’ve said more than once that I have never seen a greater involvement of volunteers in a parish as I have seen at Holy Trinity. The generosity of our folks, young and old, has no rivals. Once more, I come to you to thank you. This year, we were concerned about the Fun Fest because the construction had necessarily limited the amount of space we could dedicate to our annual bazaar. I should have known that you would come through no matter what!
The challenges were many, from booth assignment to parking, our organizers had their hands full. Then, on the Thursday afternoon, just after all the booths had been set up, a sudden micro-burst of wind destroyed fifteen tents! Our hard-working maintenance staff, helped by equally hard-working volunteers, put everything back in place, and we were ready to go on Friday afternoon.
It was heart-warming to see what good hosts you are! You opened our campus to our neighbors and greeted them with warmth, providing for their needs. Although we were not preaching the Gospel with our words, we were showing everyone Christ’s welcome and love with our actions. No wonder that Holy Trinity Fun Fest is considered one of the very best in all of Colorado. The final financial numbers are not in, but it looks like it was another great success. Thank you everyone!
